I love reading all about your family and you write so beautifully. Anyway, I feel the need to comment on this post. First, I have to agree that The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is a wonderful Christmas tradition. I read it out loud to Dylan for the first time 3 years ago and we've read it every year since. I bawl through the whole last chapter every single time. Second, I just have to tell you how happy your story about mingling with your Catholic neighbors made me. I have such great memories of that LDS building and remember how beautiful that Catholic building was as well. I just love that you combined your meetings. And coffee in the cultural hall?! Imagine!
