Best Spring EVER

The way it normally goes in Utah is for us to have a long, cold, grey winter. Lately, without a lot of snow. Just cold and grey, lasting much longer than you'd expect. Finally as you're nearing May, you think, Oh PLEASE let us have just a little spring! And spring comes. For about a day and a half. Then you get blasted with heat and still no rain and it's just awful. That's how it has felt for quite some time now, especially with two summers in a row with record-breaking heat, record-numbers of days in the 100s, things like that.

But GUESS WHAT. Not this year! Oh my gosh, it was heavenly. Spring came after all that snow in April, and it stayed and stayed and stayed. We got into some sort of monsoon pattern and we got rain every afternoon for days in a row. The temps stayed in the 60s and 70s, into June. Do you hear me, people?? Into JUNE.

Here are Romney and I at the wedding reception of a friend of hers (that was a first - and it happened a lot sooner than we thought it would!). It was at Wheeler Farm, and she and I enjoyed a delightful walk in the cool evening complete with showers and rainbows.

This is not a very eventful post, but I had to document that it happened and was fabulous and please please please could it happen again next year?
