Easter Sunday fell on the same weekend as General Conference, so Emily planned a little get-together on Saturday afternoon at noon, right between the two sessions of conference that day. She and Bryan set up an Easter Egg hunt on the large grassy lawn in front of their house. Each Easter egg held one alphabet letter, and the teens had to go out and find the eggs, then use the letters to spell out the names of a variety of prizes. The person who added the last letter to each prize was the winner of that prize. They really went to town! Gift cards, cold hard cash, and sweet treats - all the things teens love. They were so generous! And the kids really loved it.
The really magical part happened after all the eggs had been found and prizes all claimed. Everyone was sitting out in the warm sun and chatting and eating. And the kids just naturally gathered in a circle to play games. It's just my absolute favorite thing when kids do this. They just gather, they include everyone, and they play together. That was really the best part of the day. Big thanks to the Moores for hosting a really delightful celebration.
