Throwing Us for a Loop, Literally

Oh my Romney girl. She keeps us on our toes. I guess Chase is the one who got a tattoo. But Romney's the one who shaved her head bald and then she let us know that she was going to get a nose piercing. Not my favorite thing in the world but sometimes those cute little tiny studs are ok on the side of the nostril. Of course, that wasn't what she meant. She was going for the full-on septum ring. Really not my favorite.

I know, I know. Once again I'm revealing my old-ladyness. I will repeat what I hope I said when Chase got his birthday tattoo. Tattoos (and piercings) do not in any way diminish a person's character or worth. I have so many friends and loved ones who have these things and I don't love them despite these things, I just love them. But somehow it's a little different when it's my own kid doing something somewhat permanently to their body. And yes, I ended up loving Romney's bald head and Chase's Matthew tattoo. But I don't love the septum piercing. You know what I do love, though? My daughter. Sigh. That girl. Good thing she's so awesome.

Here's something I find much cuter. The kids sometimes cook together - on this day they made deep-fried spam musubi with three special sauces, and absolutely devoured the food together. Adorable.
